"All things are lawful for me, but I will not be dominated by anything. Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
-1st Corinthians 6:12,13
"Do we not have the right to eat and drink? Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas?"
-1st Corinthians 9:4,5
Food is for the stomach; and the body is for the Lord. The stomach needs food and the body needs the Lord. This is our design. Paul could lawfully marry a woman but he chose not too. Was he designed for physical marriage? No, but If he desired to marry then marry! Is the body still for the Lord if you marry a believer? Yes. Paul is referring to being dominated by sexual immorality above, not sexual morality (1 Corinthians 7:3-5).
If you are mastered by something you like then you may feel as if you need it. Desire and design are different but can be related. If one desires pornography then he may begin to believe that he is designed for sex. When you desire God more and more, you function out of his design: Food is designed for the stomach, the body is for the Lord, people are designed to love people, husbands and wives are designed to be sexually moral, and you are designed to love God.
